James and Mary FORREST were not married, Mary was born in 1815 at Walton, Lancashire UK and was christened 30th Apr 1815 at Walton On The Hill, Lancashire UK (Source Igi).

I found that James Anders was the father to Thomas Forrest, from the marriage certificate of Thomas and Martha Forrest.

James was employed in 1860 as a Blacksmith (Source - Thomas Forrest's marriage certificate).
